Sports Injury Massage
Sports Injury Massage is for anyone who is involved in activity, from the 'everyday' person through to the professional athlete. Muscles that have been worked hard, are likely to become sore and tight, and are susceptible to injury. Regular massage will increase flexibility and prevent pulls, tears and overuse injuries. Sports massage will also improve performance and endurance. Recovery from an injury can be speeded up and scar tissue prevented. Scar tissue from and old injury can be broken down over a number of sessions.
Soft Tissue Massage
Soft Tissue Massage works into the muscle tissue to stretch and loosen tight or knotted fibres. A muscle may become tight and tense through excessive or repeated use, through stress or after injury. Soft Tissue Massage can help relieve muscular aches and joint problems, release muscle spasms, relieve headaches and neck pain, break down scar tissue, relieve pressure on joints caused by osteoarthritis, assist in rehabilitation of sprained and strained muscles.
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage can provide relief or remedy for disorders such as multiple sclerosis relief, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy treatment, stroke, polio, arthritis, epilepsy, parkinson's disease, myositis, scoliosis treatment, migraines, Fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic muscle injuries such as whiplash, sprains, strains, muscle spasms and sport injuries.
Stress Relief Therapy
We live in a world where the pressures of time and relationship exist all around us. These stresses and strain cause muscles to become tight, tense and painful, frequently in the shoulders, but can affect any or all parts of the body. A massage will not only loosen these muscles, but provides time to 'switch off' both mentally and physically. Stress relief massage will restore energy levels, alleviate pain, reduce blood pressure, promote relaxation and balance all the body's systems.

Tense, tight muscles cause pain and in turn cause even more tension in the muscles. Massage gives immediate relief by stretching and loosening the muscles, leading to a more rapid recovery and relief from pain, without the use of drugs or chemicals and without side effects.

There will always be some degree of imbalance within the body, caused by habitual movement patterns. This can have a negative effect on general health and well being and combined with other stresses can be made through massage using skills to rectify muscle balance and structural alignment. Without regular massage and core stability exercise, the imbalance may return.
Postural Analysis
The body is able to function at its most efficient, when it is in balance against gravity, while faulty alignment results in undue stress and strain on bones, joints and muscles. The postural analysis that may be performed during your assessment helps indicate which muscles are shortened and which are elongated, giving information on what changes can be made to achieve a more balanced, less painful body. For example, carrying the head too far forward, as is very common, puts stress on the muscles at the back of the head (they work hard to hold it up), while the ones at the front of the neck become short, often trapping nerves and blood vessels, causing numbness or tingling in the hands.
